Day 1

Enjoying comfort stops along the way we travel by road and ferry to the Isle of Man.


Day 2

This morning we enjoy a journey on the Isle of Man Railway from Douglas to Port Erin. The railway is the longest gauge steam line in Britain and still uses its original locomotives and carriages. Afterwards, we visit the Railway Museum. Here you can learn all about the history of the island’s railway network. This afternoon, we take you to National Folk Museum in Cregneash – a living, working illustration of 19th and 20th Century Manx crofting life, where visitors can see traditional farming methods and skills in action.

Day 3

Situated on the east coast of the Isle of Man, Douglas has been the island’s capital since 1863 and today we invite you to explore this destination at your own pace. The beautiful sea front is lined with picturesque restaurants and locally owned stores.

Day 4

After breakfast we will take you to Curraghs Wildlife Park. Set in 40-acres of natural scenery the park is home to 350 different types of animals including large cats, birds of prey and primates. After some free time, we travel the short distance to Ramsey, set against the backdrop of the North Barrule hills! Later, we visit Laxey, a picturesque village best known for its large waterwheel – The Great Laxey Wheel ‘Lady Isabella’ which used to pump water out of the mines.

We return to the East Midlands.

Hydro Hotel ***, Douglas, Isle of Man





Built in 1910, The Hydro is a well-established hotel on the Isle of Man, situated on the historic Queen’s Promenade overlooking Douglas Bay. There's a rustic restaurant with exposed timber beams, in addition to a cosy bar.
