SHANKLIN
GODSHILL & VENTNOR (FULL DAY): Our first stop is the seaside resort of Shanklin, with its long sandy beach it is one of the most popular destinations on the island set against the dramatic sandstone cliffs. We then travel to Godshill village, which boasts some of the oldest architecture on the Island for a lunchtime visit. Later, we visit the traditional seaside resort of Ventnor, one of Britain's most famous Victorian health resorts with its unique microclimate.
SANDOWN
(FULL DAY): Sitting on the southern coast of the Isle of Wight, Sandown is acclaimed for its long stretches of sandy beaches and a traditional British seafront and pier.
THE NEEDLES,
YARMOUTH & MOTTISTONE GARDENS (FULL DAY): We travel to The Needles Rocks and Trinity Lighthouse, the islands most famous landmark. After a photo opportunity, we continue to Yarmouth, the historic port with some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight. Afterwards, we visit the National Trust's Mottistone Manor Garden, a magical place full of surprises, including shrub-filled banks, hidden pathways, and colourful herbaceous borders.
OSBORNE HOUSE
& COWES (FULL DAY): Queen Victoria's Osborne House seaside palace where she often visited with her beloved Prince Albert and their nine children. Take an intimate glimpse into Queen Victoria's family life as you tour the nursery and private rooms of the Royal couple. Marvel at the magnificence of the Royal Apartments including the drawing and dining rooms and step out onto Queen Victoria's private beach (a pleasant 20-minute stroll from the palace). The day also includes a visit to nearby Cowes.
Opposite Sandowns golden beach, this modern hotel is a 5-minute walk from Sandown Pier and features a traditional restaurant and a leisure centre with sea views. The bright guest rooms include a flat-screen TV, work desk and tea/coffee making facilities.
