Day 1
We set off on our Antiques Road Trip with a visit to Banbury Antiques Centre, one of Oxfordshire's largest and best antiques destinations, home to a fascinating mix of fine antiques, collectables and vintage treasures. We then continue into the historic Oxfordshire market town of Banbury, best known for the iconic Banbury Cross, celebrated in the nursery rhyme 'Ride a Cock Horse to Banbury Cross'. The current cross, erected in 1859 to commemorate Queen Victoria's eldest daughter, remains a popular local landmark. From here, we make the short journey to our hotel. After dinner this evening, we are joined by our host, TV antiques expert David Harper or Kate Bliss, for an entertaining and insightful talk. Pick up expert tips on buying and selling, hear stories from the world of antiques, and bring along a small item of your own to discover what it might be worth if you 'Flog It'!
DDay 2
After breakfast, we journey into the beautiful Cotswolds, visiting its most quintessential villages of Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh. Why not put last night's expert tips to good use at a selection of local antiques shops? Afterwards, we begin our homeward journey.
