VENTNOR &
VENTNOR BOTANICAL GARDENS (FULL DAY): Located on the South of the Isle of Wight, Ventnor is a traditional seaside resort, and one of Britain's most famous Victorian health resorts due to its unique micro-climate. A short distance from the seafront you can stroll through the beautiful Victorian Ventnor Park, which lead to the famous Botanic Gardens at the Undercliff. This unique garden is unrivalled for its collections of subtropical plants, including its impressive collection of succulents and cacti, flowering aloes and mature palm trees.
RYDE & QUARR ABBEY
(FULL DAY): One of the UK's original seaside destinations and much loved by Queen Victoria, Ryde is a quirky mix of traditional seaside fun, home to long stretches of sandy beaches and a thriving, independent shopping scene. Later we visit the Benedictine monastry of Quarr Abbey. Situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Quarr Abbey is home to a small group of Benedictine monks who strive to dedicate their lives to the glory of God. Here, you can visit the church and wander around the tranquil grounds, visit the art gallery or browse the bookshop.
SHANKLIN
(FREE DAY): Shanklin has all the charm of a traditional seaside town, set against the dramatic sandstone cliffs, the beach is one of the most stunning walks to take on the island. Sit in the peaceful Rylstone Gardens, or visit the Old Village home to pretty thatched cottages housing gift shops and tea rooms.
NEEDLES, ALUM BAY
& YARMOUTH (FULL DAY): We visit the iconic Needles at Alum Bay, one of the most photographed groups of rocks in the world, renowned for its multi-coloured sand cliffs and stunning views across the Solent. Afterwards, we take you to the small town of Yarmouth for free time. The historic port with a pretty marina sits at the mouth of the River Yar and contains some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight, including a 16th century castle.
OSBORNE HOUSE &
COWES (FULL DAY): Queen Victoria's Osborne House seaside palace where she often visited with her beloved Prince Albert and their nine children. Take an intimate glimpse into Queen Victoria's family life as you tour the nursery and private rooms of the Royal couple. Marvel at the magnificence of the Royal Apartments including the drawing and dining rooms and step out onto Queen Victoria's private beach (a pleasant 20-minute stroll from the palace). The day also includes a visit to nearby Cowes.
