Scarborough Turkey & Tinsel

Day 1

Travel via a visit to the historic market town of Beverley, en route to our Scarborough hotel where an included themed program of festive fun and fayre awaits during our 4 night stay.

Day 2

Included full day excursion to Whitby, one of England's best-loved seaside towns! Famous for its literary connections with Bram Stoker and rumoured to be where he got his inspiration for Dracula - you might choose to climb the 199 steps from the old town to the churchyard of St Mary's or perhaps visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, located in the seventeenth-century harbourside house where he served his apprenticeship. .

Day 3

Full day at leisure to get into the festive spirit in seasonal Scarborough today. Immerse yourself in the town's history at Scarborough Castle or head down to the seafront and enjoy the traditional amusement arcades, ice cream parlours and beach huts.

Day 4

At leisure in Scarborough or an OPTIONAL FULL DAY EXCURSION to Yuletide York for free time - take a leisurely stroll through St Nicholas Fair, generally considered one of the finest in the country. Soak up the festive atmosphere as you discover fine Yorkshire produce from crafters and makers showcased at the Made in Yorkshire Yuletide Village or for more traditional Christmas gifts, including crafts and jewellery, head to the twinkling chalets on Parliament Street. Before heading for home mid-afternoon, be sure to sample some of the local specialities and delicious traditional treats such as hot chestnuts, and warmed mulled wine.

Day 5

We depart and head to Lincoln in all its festive finerary - wander around the twinkling shopping streets and perhaps pick up a stocking filler (or two), or step into the city's impressive Cathedral, particularly magical at this time of year.
