Day 1

We travel to the Black Country Museum, where history is brought to life, covering over three hundred years of British life. Watch live craft demonstrations, participate in old-fashioned street games, visit the vintage cinema and perhaps treat yourself to traditional fish and chips in this open-air museum. With over forty carefully reconstructed buildings, including shops, houses, industrial areas and even a schoolhouse, this is a nostalgic reminder of 'The Way We Were'. Late afternoon, we continue to our overnight hotel.

Day 2

Sense the rumble of the vintage engines and the smell of steam as we step aboard for a nostalgic journey on the award-winning Severn Valley Railway this morning. From here, we visit the National Arboretum, the UK's living and lasting memorial, to commemorate and celebrate those who gave so much to our country. Nestled in a serene setting of nature and accessible woodland, it is a poignant reminder to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
