Set against the backdrop of Edinburgh's imposing Castle, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is the most iconic event in Edinburgh's social calendar. Bringing together an international audience, this must-see show celebrates the skills and talents of bands and display teams from the British Armed Forces, the Commonwealth, and military drill teams worldwide. Our three-day tour includes visits to Gretna Green and Moffat too.

Free time in Edinburgh

Day 1

After departures, we travel north, stopping at Gretna Green. The UK's most famous wedding destination is a quaint village with unique sites, including the Famous Blacksmiths Shop and the Scottish Food Hall. After some free time, we continue to our hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast today, we travel to Edinburgh late morning to explore 'Auld Reekie' and take in the world-famous Edinburgh Tattoo! Here, you'll have free time to explore Europe's most unique and memorable cities, home to narrow, cobbled passageways, fascinating museums and attractions galore. As dusk falls, it's time to don your tartan as we prepare for the highlight of this break - the sensational Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo, an unforgettable evening of music, ceremony, theatre, and dance!

Day 3

We begin our journey home with a visit to Moffat, a vibrant, bustling town offering the warmest of Scottish welcomes, on the way. After some free time in this border town, we cross back into England, returning home later today.
