Day 1

Travel north via a scenic drive though the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with a stop in seasonal Skipton, a charming market town known as 'the gateway to the Dales' with an historic 900 year old castle and cobbled streets, en route to the Lake District.

Day 2

Today we visit the Ulverston Dickensian Festival. Set in the beautiful Cumbrian market town, it recreates the festive season in bygone times with locals and many visitors alike getting into the spirit in period dress, street entertainers and horse-drawn carriages, plus grand parades around the town it has become one of the most popular Dickensian festivals in the country! There is also a magical Christmas market, perfect for finding thoughtful gifts or enjoying tasty treats.

Day 3

This morning we head to Bowness on Windermere where we include a circular cruise on Windermere, England's largest natural lake, with fantastic winter wonderland views of the many islands (holmes), Lakeland mountains, wooded shorelines and bays. Afterwards we begin our homeward journey full of festive spirit.
