Good Friday

After departures, we visit elegant Harrogate, known for its Victorian centre and gardens. Enjoy time to explore, perhaps calling at Bettys Tea Rooms or the Royal Pump Room Museum, before continuing to our hotel.

Day 2

Today we travel along the beautiful Northumbrian coast to Seahouses, where there’s time to browse gift shops, relax in cosy cafés or stroll around the harbour. We then continue via Bamburgh to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, where you can explore the village, castle or Saxon Priory ruins.

Easter Sunday

On Easter Sunday, we visit Sunderland for a seafront stroll before returning to the hotel for an included carvery lunch. This afternoon, we visit nearby Beamish, the Living Museum of the North. This open-air attraction will take you through time, recreating nineteenth and twentieth century working life through immersive exhibits, authentic eateries, traditional shopfronts and costumed characters.

Easter Monday

We head home with a photo stop at the Angel of the North and a visit to Thirsk, the Yorkshire home of James Herriot, along the way.
