Day 1
With leisurely stops enroute, we travel to the picturesque Benelux region and our comfortable hotel in Valkenburg, The Netherlands.
DDay 2
Enjoy a leisurely morning to explore Valkenburg at your own pace after breakfast. Known for its labyrinth of caves dating back to the Roman Empire, these Municipal Caves are still regularly used. We return to our hotel for a late lunch before we travel to Antwerp for this evening's extraordinary André Rieu concert. The upcoming concerts in Amsterdam and Antwerp will be the perfect start for the new year, and fans can expect an evening of opera, operetta, film music, waltzes, fun, romance and many surprises.
Day 3
Today, we cross the German border into historic Aachen. We recommend a visit to the city's stunning cathedral. Constructed in the ninth century, it has seen over forty coronations and is the burial place of the legendary Charlemagne. We later continue with a scenic drive through the beautiful Eiffel Mountains to Monschau. Known for traditional half-timbered houses, this charming village offers a classic German destination with a distinct Belgian flavour (especially with the food and beer offered).
Day 4
We retrace our footsteps home.
