Day 1
After our departure, we head directly to our hotel.
Day 2
We start with a scenic drive through the New Forest National Park, famed for its ancient woodlands, idyllic glades, heathlands and open moores, as we travel to Lyndhurst, the 'capital of the New Forest'. As we drive through an area once used as the hunting grounds of kings and queens, we also visit Burley, oozing old world charm with pretty thatched cottages, and the charming coastal market town of Lymington, home to cobbled streets, colourful marinas and an eclectic mix of independent shops.
Day 3
Enjoy all the fun of the seaside in Bournemouth in your own time today. The town's classic Victorian pier and many glorious gardens are just a short walk away, so there is plenty to see and do. For a unique visit, why not explore the Oceanarium, a cliffside funicular railway or take in exotic birds at the Aviary?
B, DDay 4
Today's excursion takes us to the Isle of Purbeck. Enjoy the views as we drive through quaint Corfe Castle to the unspoilt seaside town of Swanage. Originally a tiny fishing port, the town is popular with holidaymakers while retaining much of its Victorian elegance and attractions. If you wish to learn more about the local area, then a visit to Swanage Museum comes recommended, telling the story of the Isle from the start of the Jurassic period to the end of World War II.
B, DDay 5
After checking out, we visit special Salisbury, known as 'the city in the countryside'. A quintessentially English landscape surrounds Salisbury; while you're here, enjoy the splendour of the city's medieval cathedral, boasting the tallest spire in Britain and Europe's oldest working clock, or the nearby quaint streets and historic half-timbered houses. We start our return journey home this afternoon.
