Day 1
Driving south, we sail to Continental Europe and a stay in an overnight French hotel this evening
Day 2
We continue our journey to Calella in Spain, arriving at our hotel for a ten night stay.
Days 3-5
Christmas Eve to Boxing Day - It's Christmas, so enjoy the next three days relaxing or exploring in the resort. With special celebratory meals on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, both served with Spanish sparkling wine - there will be no problem getting into the festive spirit! During our stay, we also enjoy brunch and a 50% discount on all drinks and snacks during golden hour each afternoon. Calella is home to beautiful beaches with sparkling waters - all this and the beach club are within walking distance from our hotel! Away from the beaches, you can discover a fascinating blend of old and new throughout the town.
B, DDay 6
No holiday to Catalonia would be complete without a visit to beautiful Barcelona! Explore the bustling Las Ramblas, a lively boulevard filled with street performers, shops, and cafes or the historic Gothic Quarter, where you can wander through narrow medieval streets and discover hidden squares. Why not head to the Sagrada Familia, the emblem of Barcelona, an incredible unfinished cathedral designed by architect Antoni Gaudi? This cosmopolitan seaside city is home to so many unique attractions and landmarks, you'll be spoilt for choice!
Day 7
Today is at leisure or you can join us for an optional excursion to Montserrat! This rocky mountain range is home to the Santa Maria de Montserrat, a Benedictine monastery at the top of the mountain, and Catalonia's most important religious retreat.
Please note: the Monserrat Funiculars are not included and must be paid for separately.
Day 8
Our first visit today is to enchanting Figueres, a culture-rich city is home to museums, including one dedicated to its most famous resident, Salvador Dali. The centre of Figueres has retained its historic architecture while being a modern and thriving destination. We later travel to Calella de Palafrugell, a quaint fishing port and one of the most beautiful coastal villages in the country. Home to white houses, wooden fishing boats along the beach and hidden coves, it has a dream-like atmosphere that you won't be able to put your finger on.
Days 9
After breakfast, we travel to Pals, one of the most charming villages in Costa Brava. Perched on a hill, the settlement was built around a fortress and has kept keeping its medieval look. Stroll around the beautifully preserved historical centre and enjoy the authentic beauty surrounding you! After some free time, we travel to Lloret De Mar. A former fishing village, enjoy a one of the region's livelist resorts offering fantastic shopping options and many bars and restaurants nearby!
B, DDay 10-11
New Year's Eve & Day - Celebrate the start of 2026 from the comfort of Calella! With special celebratory meals on New Year's Eve, served with sparkling wine to toast, and brunch on New Year's Day - this New Year's celebration will be one to remember!
Day 12
We depart Spain and return to our overnight hotel in France.
BDay 13
We retrace our footsteps back through France via coach and then ferry before returning home later this evening.
