Day 1

We travel to our hotel in Newquay, making suitable comfort stops on the way.

Day 2

Welcome to Truro, Cornwall's only city. With neat Georgian streets, cobbled lanes, and pretty green spaces, the city's impressive Cathedral dominates the skyline and has one of the tallest spires of any church in the UK. We also visit the quintessential fishing village of Mevagissey, home to an attractive working harbour and plenty of gift shops, galleries, cafés, and pubs, where locally-made Cornish pasties come highly recommended.

Day 3

Newquay is one of Cornwall's most popular summer destinations, boasting gorgeous beaches, turquoise waters and a laidback charm, renowned for its surfing culture. With a free day, explore the town's art galleries, trendy dining and shopping experiences or enjoy a trip to Newquay Zoo - a sanctuary for over a thousand animals.

Day 4

An early start this morning takes us to Penzance to board our ferry for the Isles of Scilly. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for wildlife that might appear during the voyage - dolphins, puffins and basking sharks are known to inhabit these waters! Our ferry arrives in Hugh Town on St Mary's, the largest island in the archipelago, home to a cluster of shops, churches, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Explore the coastline features, large stretches of deserted white sandy beaches, dramatic rocky coves, stunning seascapes and beautiful walks that make these islands unique. We return via a late afternoon sailing back to Penzance, where our coach will wait to take us back to our hotel.

Please note: due to the late return, dinner is not included tonight.

We travel back to the East Midlands with suitable comfort stops along the way.

Barrowfield Hotel 3*, Newquay

Ideally located just two hundred yards from Tolcarne Beach, the Barrowfield Hotel is a ten-minute walk from Newquay town centre. The entertainment room features live acts every night, and the spacious communal lounge offers plenty of relaxing space.
