The Scottish capital turns on its Christmas charm as we head north for some pre-Christmas cheer. Twinkling lights line the city’s cobbled streets adorned with seasonal markets, enchanting sounds and mouth-watering flavours. Join us for some festive fun, laughter and shopping opportunities as we explore Edinburgh, Carlisle and Gretna Green.

DAY 1

On the way to our hotel, we travel to Gretna Green. Enjoy this quaint village, the gateway to Scotland, with a chance to explore the blacksmiths shop and pick up some quintessential Scottish gifts before we head to this evening's hotel.

DAY 2

Enjoy a full day excursion to explore Edinburgh today. Visit the imposing castle or world-famous Princes Street before the feast of festive treats at Edinburgh's Christmas Market. Set in the historic heart of the city, enjoy delicious food and drink with traditional crafts at the Scottish Market on George Street, pick up unique gifts and goods at the European Market in the Mound Precinct, or choose presents for the wee ones in the Children's Market, part of Santa Land in Princes Street Gardens. Please note - dinner is not supplied on this night to allow for maximum time in Edinburgh.

DAY 3

After breakfast, we take you to Carlisle for free time. Perhaps see how many of the three most famous city attractions (Carlisle Castle, Carlisle Cathedral and the award-winning Tullie House Museum), you can squeeze in before we return home.
