Day 1
After departing, we head to our hotel with a visit to Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon on the way.
DDay 2
Our first stop today is the beautiful and historic Cotswolds village of Broadway; here, you can wander along the main street lined with horse chestnut trees and honey-coloured buildings offering independent shops and quaint cafés. After time to explore, all aboard the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway for a journey towards Cheltenham. Enjoy the pretty views across the Cotswolds via this heritage locomotive and comfortable carriages. Upon arrival, we enjoy some free time to explore Cheltenham, the most complete regency town in the UK, before returning to our hotel.
B, DDay 3
A full day at leisure to explore Swindon. Why not take the opportunity to visit the award-winning STEAM Museum? Found in a restored station, experience the history of the Great Western Railway and discover old locomotives and train carriages, including Queen Victoria's own Royal Saloon car. Alternatively, treat yourself to a little retail therapy at Swindon Designer Outlet, found within walking distance of our hotel.
B, DDay 4
After breakfast, we head to Tetbury; once an important market for the Cotswolds wool trade, the town is now better associated with boutique shopping and dining. Afterwards, we make the short journey to Highgrove, the private residence of His Royal Highness King Charles III. Joined by an experienced guide, we tour the King's gardens, which include the other-worldly Stumpery Garden, the whimsical Thyme Walk and the Chelsea award-winning Carpet Garden; you'll see Highgrove through the eyes of royalty! Following our tour, we enjoy an included two-course lunch in the Orchard Room, where you'll be surrounded by fascinating paintings of The King and his family.
B, DDay 5
After checking out this morning, we head to Henley-on-Thames, one of the most beautiful towns in England and home to the famous Royal Boating Regatta. Here, we have arranged a sightseeing cruise on the River Thames before we continue our journey home.
