This Spring, we take a short trip to some of Yorkshire's most elegant destinations, including the traditional market town of Knaresborough, the fashionable spa town of Harrogate, cosmopolitan Leeds and Holmfirth, home to TV's Last of the Summer Wine. We also include the bonus of a visit to Castle Howard to explore the impressive Springtime gardens.

Day 1

With a comfort stop enroute, we travel to Harrogate for an afternoon at leisure. Home to historic buildings and decorative gardens, Harrogate is one of Yorkshire's most elegant destinations. With our hotel just a short walk from the town's Victorian centre, why not visit the famous Betty's Tea Rooms or the Royal Pump Room Museum to explore life in a bygone era?

Day 2

This morning, we visit the picturesque market town of Knaresborough. Discover old world charm, amazing views of the River Nidd below, and the imposing railway viaduct across the gorge the town sits on. Later, we travel the short distance to Castle Howard. Located in an Area of Natural Beauty, this majestic eighteenth-century stately home hosts stunning gardens, where you'll find a carpet of springtime bluebells in the enchanting Woodland Garden, an on-site garden centre and a Courtyard Cafe, which is perfect for a tasty, sweet treat.

Day 3

After breakfast, we leave Harrogate and travel to Holmfirth, which sits in the heart of the breathtaking Holme Valley. We explore the familiar locations from the hit TV series Last of the Summer Wine, including Syd's Café and Nora Batty's Steps. From here, we continue back home in the mid-afternoon.
