Now one of the world’s largest literary festivals, this small town is home to the Hay Festival of Literature and Arts event takes place every late spring. What began in a pub garden has grown to attract over 100,000 visitors who engage with notable writers, poets, and musicians.

 

The festival now features a large tented village with ten venues, pop-up cafes, and shops. Visitors can relax on the village green, browse stalls, and explore a bookshop offering 55,000 titles. Evenings are filled with music, comedy, and film, creating a vibrant cultural experience.
