DDay 2
After breakfast, we head to the popular seaside resort of Llandudno. Enjoy a stroll along the traditional Victorian promenade and pier, or if you're after stunning views, why not visit The Great Orme on this full-day excursion? A heritage tramway can reach Llandudno's mini-mountain range, a designated nature reserve.
B, DDay 3
Enjoy a half-day trip to Caernarfon, situated on the eastern shore of the Menai Strait opposite the Isle of Anglesey. Visit the UNESCO Heritage site of Caernarfon Castle, an architectural masterpiece of its era, or board one of the Welsh Highland heritage steam trains that depart from the town's station throughout the day (pre-booking is recommended). We will return to Llanberis this afternoon, where you can enjoy our hotel and the surrounding area.
B, DDay 4
With today's leisurely start, why not walk into Llanberis, an area known for its rugged beauty, large lakes, slate mines and the start of the Snowdon Mountain Railway? This afternoon, we enjoy admission into Portmeirion. This unique village, set on a private peninsula, was crafted by architect Clough Williams-Ellis over a fifty-year period. Surrounded by seventy acres of sub-tropical woodland gardens, Portmeirion is home to Italian-inspired architecture, iconic exotic gardens, stylish shops, award-winning restaurants and a traditional Italian ice cream parlour!
B, DDay 5
After departing our hotel, we visit Chester, a Roman city that is now a much-loved destination for shoppers and history buffs alike. We will return home later.
