This morning we arrive in Vigo, nestled in Spain's Galician region, it allures with its historic Old Town, stunning waterfront, and the pristine Cies Islands a short boat ride away. Explore medieval streets, discover Castro Fortress, and savour the delights of fresh seafood and other Spanish delicacies. During your time in port you may like to pre-book for the OPTIONAL excursion to the sacred pilgrimage city of Santiago de Compostela, for centuries, to which thousands of pilgrims have walked the Camino de Santiago every year with a dream to fulfill to step foot its now legendary Cathedral. According to tradition, this is the burial place of the relics of James the Apostle, discovered in the 9th century. But Santiago de Compostela is a very lively city with many other reasons to delight the traveller, whether a pilgrim or not: countless restaurants and bars where you can savour the region's exquisite seafood and a historic quarter declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Leixoes is one of Portugal's major seaports and is widely associated with the exporting of port wine. Day trips to Porto are a popular activity, but there are also quayside beaches and cafes to enjoy on either side of the Douro River. There will also be the opprtunity to pre-book an OPTIONAL excursion to Porto, beautifully situated on the Douro River estuary in northern Portugal, it is one of the oldest European centers, and its core was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. As well as being renowned for its rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning architecture, Porto is also known for producing the world-famous Port wine, which takes it's name from the region.
