Day 1
After departures this morning, we travel by road and ferry to Douglas, the Isle of Man's capital.
DDay 2
Today, we enjoy a tour exploring the southern half of the Isle of Man. Our first stop will be Castletown, the island's original capital, which dates back to the eleventh century. Castle Rushen, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in Europe and built for a Viking king, still dominates the town today. After some time here, we travel to picturesque Peel via pretty Port St. Mary and Port Erin. Home to sandy beaches, a natural harbour and the Viking-built Peel Castle, this coastal town is rich in Celtic and Norse history; don't forget to try the local delicacy, Manx Kippers!
B, DDay 3
Enjoy the capital of the Isle of Man, Douglas, in your own time today. Home to a beautiful promenade lined with welcoming bars and restaurants, a popular traditional high street and the free-to-enter Manx Museum, where you can explore the island's history from prehistoric times to the modern day. Why not journey on the famous Douglas Bay Horse Tramway along the seafront, offering sweeping views across the Irish Sea?
B, DDay 4
Our full-day excursion to the island's north starts with a journey along the famous TT race circuit. We first head for a visit to Ramsey, the second-largest town on the island. Set against the magnificent backdrop of the North Barrule Hills, Ramsey boasts an impressive working harbour and one of the most unique recreational spaces on the Isle of Man. Next, we travel to Laxey for a picturesque journey on the Snaefell Mountain Railway. This historic journey is made on heritage electric trams and offers spectacular views from the island's highest summit, which stands over two thousand feet above sea level. We also have a photo stop opportunity at the famous Laxey Wheel before returning to Douglas.
B, DDay 5
We return home today.
