Day 1
We visit York, the most important historical city in the north. You'll be spoiled for choice, with historic buildings, museums, river cruising and shopping all on offer.
Day 2
This morning, we visit the market town of Barnard Castle, where you can wander the delightful, cobbled streets and twisting lanes. After some free time, we return to our hotel for an early evening meal before travelling to Auckland Castle for tonight's spectacular Kynren performance. As dusk falls, this action-packed show can begin, featuring pyrotechnics, stunning lighting, water effects, and a cast of over a thousand performers.
B, DDay 3
After breakfast, we visit Thirsk, a traditional North Yorkshire Market town. Essentially unchanged and uninfluenced by the world, Thirsk has a charm all its own. The major attraction is the Wonderful World of James Herriot, a part TV set and museum for the famous 'All Creatures Great and Small' drama series. We later return home this afternoon.
