Day1

We travel north and soon after crossing the Scottish border, we visit the iconic Gretna Green. From here, we head to our Country House Hotel before this evening’s 3-course dinner.

Day 2

We first take you to the mysterious natural phenomenon Electric Brae, then onto to Ayr, a popular seaside resort on the Firth of Clyde boasting a charming seafront with an esplanade and long sandy beach plus a wide range of independent shops, bars and restaurants.

Day 3

Celebrate Christmas Day in the warmth and comfort of our hotel. After a hearty breakfast, you may wish to take a refreshing stroll out in the hotel grounds before sitting down to enjoy a traditional Christmas Day lunch at our hotel. Afternoon tea and Christmas cake will also be available later and this evening a light buffet will precede an evening of entertainment.

Day 4

An included excursion today takes us to the vibrant and cosmopolitan city of Glasgow where the festive season is celebrated with style and spirit. Boasting a wealth of art and culture and the best shopping outside of London, you'll find everything from high street stores and designer labels to speciality outlets for the more unique items and at this time of year don't miss the city's magical Winterfest market. Back at the hotel later there will be a farewell dinner and more entertainment this evening.

Day 5

After breakfast, we bid our Scottish hosts a fond farewell and begin our homeward calling at the vibrant town of Moffat, before crossing back onto English soil and continuing back to our original departure points.
