Day 1

We travel north, crossing the border and visiting Moffat, a vibrant, bustling town offering the warmest of Scottish welcomes. From here, we continue to our hotel in the pretty village of Drymen. After settling in, why not walk around the local area before dinner or take advantage of the free hotel bar available from 7.30pm to 10.30pm each evening?

Day 2

After breakfast, we travel to Stirling, a small city with a big history. The beautifully preserved Old Town is a treasure trove of historic buildings and includes the glorious Stirling Castle, an imposing fortress and one of Scotland's most historically significant sites. On our return journey to the hotel, we enjoy a photo stop at the impressive Kelpies equine sculptures.

Day 3

Today, we travelled a short distance to the "bonnie banks" of Loch Lomond to board a cruise on its waters. With tea, coffee, and shortbread served on board, our cruise will present the beauty of the loch and winter wonderland scenery, abundant waterfalls and islands. Afterwards, we return via a visit to Loch Lomond Shores, a chic shopping and visitors centre. Here, we'll enjoy the annual Christmas Festival before picking up a few festive gifts for friends and loved ones back home.

Day 4

Enjoy a farewell hot toddy this morning before we return home full of festive spirit via a visit to historic Gretna Green.

The Winnock Hotel 3* Drymen

Situated in the heart of Loch Lomond National Park, our hotel is set in an 18^th century building and features an on-site bar and restaurant serving British cuisine. Guestrooms are decorated with warm tones and are equipped with TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
