Excursion to Shrewsbury

Day 1

After our departure, we travel to Bewdley, an attractive Georgian town with some free time to explore. This afternoon, it's all aboard the stunning Severn Valley Railway for a journey to Bridgnorth, a full-size railway line that runs regular steam-hauled passenger services. It boasts one of the largest collections of working steam locomotives and coaches, including some rolling stock over eighty years old! We later continue to our hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast, we visit Shrewsbury, where we have plenty of time to explore. Set amidst glorious countryside, Shrewsbury is one of England's finest medieval market towns and home to over six hundred listed buildings. We depart for home mid-afternoon.
