Day 2

Made famous by the BBC television series 'A Garden Lost in Time', Aberglasney Gardens is one of Wales' finest gardens. Explore over ten acres with over twenty garden styles, from formal and woodland to exotic and modern. At the garden's heart lies a fully restored Elizabethan Cloister Garden, the only surviving example in the UK today. After exploring, we return to the hotel in Carmarthen, the legendary birthplace of the wizard Merlin, for an afternoon at leisure.

Day 3

After a leisurely morning, we head to Tenby this afternoon. Steeped in ancient history and surrounded by an imposing medieval stone wall, Tenby is one of the most iconic towns on this stretch of coastline. Home to glorious golden beaches, a pastel-painted harbourside, wildlife parks, and a ruined castle perched up high, it's clear why Tenby is a much-loved destination.

Day 4

Today, we embark on a journey of inspiration in the Brecon Beacons. We start in Pant, where we join the Brecon Mountain Railway. Our spectacular journey takes us into the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, a place of breathtaking beauty and tranquility. We pass through Pontisticill, with a brief stop to admire the views, and continue along with views of the Taff Fechan Reservoir before climbing up Torpantau, high in the Brecon Beacons and the summit of the original line. After our journey, we visit the charming market town of Brecon, famed for its Georgian architecture, cafés, restaurants and selection of shops.

Day 5

We travel home via a visit to the Royal Mint Experience near Cardiff. Explore over one thousand years of history with a host of exhibitions, talks and interactive experiences, offering key insight into how coins have been produced throughout time.
