Day 1

We travel across northern France to an overnight hotel.

Day 2

Following breakfast, we continue our journey to the Hotel Weisses Kreuz in Feldkirch. A hearty "Grüß Gott" and welcome drink will await us upon arrival, alongside a warm alpine welcome from our hosts.

Day 3

Hop on board our coach for a scenic journey along the Swiss shores of Lake Constance towards the German city of Konstanz, an old imperial citadel that was once home to the Vatican Council. Today's highlight is a visit to Mainau, the 'Island of Flowers'. Enjoy a mild climate around carefully-designed and maintained gardens with tulips, rhododendrons, scented roses and colourful dahlias, all waiting to be explored. Afterwards, we board a ferry to Meersburg before continuing via road to Lindau, the island city. Located at the foot of the Alps, Lindau is a historic home to a magnificent harbour, medieval architecture and stunning lake views. Our return journey takes us through Bregenz, the state capital of Vorarlberg, which is beautifully situated on Lake Constance's eastern shore.

Day 4

Another full-day excursion takes us through the tiny principality of Liechtenstein, home to the stunning Vaduz Castle, and into Switzerland. Travelling along the shores of Lake Walen, we reach the cosmopolitan city of Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland. This lakeside city is a global financial powerhouse, home to an ancient and charming 'Altstadt' (Old Town), the Romanesque-style Grossmünster church and a varied collection of museums and galleries. Upon leaving, we travel via a circular route back to our hotel.

Day 5

We cross back into Switzerland, where our day begins with a visit to Tiefencastel to board the Rhaetian Railway. Following the Albula Line (the same path as the world-famous Glacier Express and Bernina Express), this masterpiece of railway engineering forms the heart of a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, one of the world's most spectacular routes. After travelling through helical tunnels and over majestic viaducts on this picturesque journey, we arrive in St Moritz, the metropolis of the Alps. Explore this popular ski resort that has hosted the Winter Olympics twice before we return to our hotel by coach, passing over the Julier Pass and Via Mala, the most remarkable gorge in the eastern Alps.

Day 6

After breakfast, we will be gifted a complimentary souvenir from the hotel before we retrace our steps back through Europe and return to our overnight hotel.

Day 7

Our tour comes to a close as we return home.
