Day 1
We travel to our hotel in Babbacombe.
DDay 2
We enjoy a leisurely drive along the famous south Devon coast, often called the English Riviera because of its mild climate and subtropical palm trees, giving it that natural continental holiday feel! We visit Brixham, located in a scenic river location, famous for its fishing and colourful houses lining the picturesque harbour. We also take you to Paignton, a beautiful coastal resort home to the unique Dartmouth Steam Railway.
Day 3
Discover Torquay in your own time today. Why not take a scenic walk along the pier and promenade and visit the Royal Terrace Gardens? Here, you can enjoy some fantastic sea views across Torbay.
B, DDay 4
Enjoy another free day in Torquay, or join us for an optional trip to Sidmouth, one of Devon's prettiest tourist resorts. Home to a fascinating town museum and the famous Donkey Sanctuary, Sidmouth is a must-see destination. We also visit Exeter, the capital city of Devon! Explore the magnificent Exeter Cathedral, which dates to Norman times or take advantage of Exeter's stylish boutiques.
B, DDay 5
Today's included excursion visits Dartmouth, the historic naval town and one of South Devon's most popular destinations. The cobbled marketplace features colourful stalls supplying local produce each Friday. The town is also renowned for its seafood, with many of its cafés, pubs, and restaurants serving the local catch of the day.
B, DDay 6
We first head to Buckfast Abbey, set in a picturesque valley on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and home to a community of Roman Catholic Benedictine Monks. Visit the beautiful abbey and colourful gardens to learn about Benedictine life from its medieval origins to present. From here, we head to Plymouth to spend the afternoon in the vibrant city, well known for its historic maritime connections.
Day 7
Today, we return home.
