Day 1
After departing, we make our way to Llangollen, a small country town famous for its scenic landscape, river, canal and heritage. After some free time, we head to our hotel in Llandudno.
Day 2
Located on the Glaslyn Estuary, Porthmadog is our first destination today, a busy harbour town rich in maritime history and a significant hub for narrow-gauge railways with no less than three lines! Today, we have included a journey on the Ffestiniog Railway, the oldest independent railway company in the world, established in 1832. The historic train is over seven hundred feet from sea level and goes into the mountains through tranquil pastures, magnificent forests, lakes and waterfalls.
B, DDay 3
Developed as an upmarket seaside holiday town for its Edwardian and Victorian visitors, Llandudno is now Wales' most prominent resort. Uniquely situated between the Great and Little Ormes, enjoy a free day in this coastal destination, home to a magnificent promenade, tearooms, and shops.
B, DDay 4
Enjoy a return journey on the Snowdon Mountain Railway, where you'll be rewarded with fantastic views of the surrounding scenery. At over one thousand feet, Mount Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales! This afternoon, we also enjoy a journey on the nearby Llanberis Lake Railway, a narrow-gauge railway that follows the stunning lake shores.
B, DDay 5
After checking out this morning, we will make the short journey to the Great Orme Tramway Museum. Opening in 1902, the Great Orme Tramway is Britain's only cable-hauled public road tramway. After time to explore, we return home this afternoon.
BB=Breakfast, D=Dinner
The Somerset Hotel is an attractive seafront property with views of the pier and the Great Orme. This is the perfect spot for a traditional seaside break, conveniently located close to the town centre and with the beach on the doorstep.
