DDay 2
We travel through the beautiful Welsh countryside via Betws-y-Coed. Set in Snowdonia National Park in a valley referred to as 'Little Switzerland', this quaint town boasts being North Wales' most popular inland resort with plenty to eat and explore. After a chance to explore, join us on a journey aboard the Lake Bala Railway. This narrow?gauge steam railway runs alongside Llyn Tegid (Lake Bala) and is hauled by a historic Welsh steam locomotive, which affords excellent views of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park.
B, DDay 3
Found between Llyn Padarn's shores and the base of Mount Snowdon, enjoy a free day in Llanberis, one of the most picturesque villages in Wales. Explore, and you'll find the National Slate Museum and plenty of mountain or lakeside walks. Also, don't forget a journey on the magical Snowdon Mountain Railway for some panoramic views (attractions not included; pre-booking is recommended).
B, DDay 4
Our first stop today is historic Caernarfon, home to one of the most famous castles in Wales, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the venue for King Charles's investiture as the Prince of Wales. Later, we travel over the Menai Bridge to the Isle of Anglesey and towards the impressive Beaumaris Castle for a short photo opportunity. Built in the eleventh century and despite being unfinished, Beaumaris Castle is regarded as one of the finest castles of its era. Upon arriving in Beaumaris town, we board a boat cruise to Puffin Island. This leisurely journey takes us around the island with live commentary and local history. Keep your eyes peeled, and you might be lucky to spot one of the resident puffins, grey seals or bottlenose dolphins (wildlife sightings are not guaranteed)!
