Day 1
We travel to our hotel via a visit to Llangollen, home to stunning natural scenery and a rich history to explore.
DDay 2
This morning, we travel over the Menai Bridge to the Isle of Anglesey and towards the impressive Beaumaris Castle for a short photo opportunity. Built in the eleventh century and despite being unfinished, Beaumaris Castle is regarded as one of the finest castles of its era. Upon arriving in Beaumaris town, we board a boat cruise to Puffin Island. This leisurely journey takes us around the island with live commentary and local history. Keep your eyes peeled, and you might be lucky to spot one of the resident puffins, grey seals or bottlenose dolphins (wildlife sightings are not guaranteed)! This afternoon, we head to Llanberis, one of the most picturesque villages in Wales found between Llyn Padarn's shores and the base of Mount Snowdon.
B, DDay 3
Enjoy a day at leisure in Caernarfon. Situated on the eastern shore of the Menai Strait opposite the Isle of Anglesey, consider visiting the UNESCO Heritage site of Caernarfon Castle, just a few hundred yards away from the hotel, or board one of the Welsh Highland heritage steam trains which depart from the town's station (pre-booking recommended - not included).
B, DDay 4
We travel through the beautiful Welsh countryside via Betws-y-Coed. Set in Snowdonia National Park in a valley referred to as 'Little Switzerland', this quaint town boasts being North Wales' most popular inland resort with plenty to eat and explore. After a chance to explore, join us on a journey aboard the Lake Bala Railway. This narrow-gauge steam railway runs alongside Llyn Tegid (Lake Bala) and is hauled by a historic Welsh steam locomotive, which affords excellent views of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park.
B, DDay 5
Today, we travel home with comfort stops enroute.
