Visits to York & Whitby

Day 1

Immerse yourself in the rich history of the ancient fishing port of Whitby, one of England's best-loved seaside towns! Famous for its literary connections with Bram Stoker and rumoured to be where he got his inspiration for Dracula - you might choose to climb the 199 steps from the old town to the churchyard of St Mary's or perhaps visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, located in the seventeenth-century harbourside house where he served his apprenticeship.

D

Day 2

After breakfast, we visit York, home to the awe-inspiring York Minster, one of the most beautiful Gothic cathedrals in the world! Full of ancient history and plenty of shopping opportunities, it is the perfect place to spend a couple of hours before we return home.
