* David Johns is a Lancashire lad born and bred and has lived for most of his life in the shadow of Pendle Hill. He has spent over thirty years working in the tourism industry in the county, and has been a tour guide for over ten years. With an unparalleled knowledge of the area, together with its rich history and traditions, he has built up a wealth of true stories and tall tales to keep the visitor amazed and amused.

Day 1

Our day begins with a scenic drive to Bakewell in the Peak District National Park. Idyllically situated on the banks of the River Wye, Bakewell is perhaps best known for its delicious pudding! After some free time, our journey continues to the award-winning Oswaldtwistle Mills Shopping Village & Garden Centre. Set in a former weaving mill, this unique shopping village has over 100 retailers all under one roof - including the Lifestyle & Garden Centre, Mill Grounds, Aquatics Specialist, Craft Centre, Textile and Heritage Museum and even a Wildfowl Reserve. From here, we travel to our hotel in time for tonight's dinner.
